The Difference

Fabric Naturals products do not contain harmful preservatives. Some synthetic preservatives have been linked to potential health conditions. Fabric, being a health based company, considers the wellness of consumers, as well as, the earth. Preservative systems in Fabric brands are natural alternatives derived from plants and natural resources that are effective microbial inhibitors.

With us you don’t have to. We give you both superior quality ingredients and quantities that count!

QUALITY – We use minimally processed ingredients, organic when possible to preserve the active compounds and medicinal properties of the plant or natural material. This provides formulas that are rich with highly active extracts for optimal hair health.

QUANTITY – Guaranteed higher doses of active natural compounds allow results that are more apparent with continued use and often times yield results seen on the first application.

Quality ingredients from healthy soil that are minimally processed, allows us to deliver all the benefits of therapeutic herbals to our customers. Because what is put onto the body and hair can be absorbed into the skin, we only use ingredients that are purer, more natural, organic and safer. Because the core of our company is health and natural beauty, we choose to exclude the following ingredients from our formulas:

Many products make promises on the front of their labels, but when you turn the product over to read the back label, there’s nothing actually in the product that does any of what the front label claims. The product is simply full of cheap chemical fillers. Then, those products that have herbal extracts in them (because manufacturers are aware that smart consumers know the benefits of these ingredients) have such small amounts of these nutrients in them that they may as well not be in the product at all! Many brands tout “organic” or “natural” however the formulas contain many chemical ingredients that are counterproductive to the health of the hair. They actually end up doing more harm than good, fighting against the good nutrients in the formula and stripping your hair of existing nutrients. READ LABELS. Become knowledgeable about ingredients. We are proud of our formulas because we simply give you more hair-healthy nutrients than leading brands. Our formulas have higher doses of medicinal plants, vitamins, and nutrients. Go ahead and compare. We provide products of exceptional quality that truly transform hair, that perform and deliver beyond a promise. Our products deliver results.

Thanks to our research team of holistic doctors and scientists, we go a step further to incorporate rare ingredients from natural medicine, blending them in harmony for optimal effectiveness.

We’re not a brand that produces chemical-laden products nor are we a brand of simple oil, water, and butter formulas. A balanced blend of nature and science produces the very best in advanced hair care for your healthiest hair.

Hair is exposed to enough chemicals. Why add more? Hair undergoes chemical processing, daily styling, and exposure to environmental pollutants in air and water that attack hair’s health. Fabric combats these toxins naturally with quality standards:

•High Doses of Natural Medicinals
•Raw Ingredients Derived From Nature
•Minimal Processing
•Organic When Possible
•High Quality Ingredients
•No SLS/Sulfates
•No Parabens
•No Formaldehydes or Formaldehydes-Releasing Agents
•No Petroleum/Mineral Oils
•No Synthetic Fragrances/Dyes
•No Animal Testing
Parabens – (can be labeled as Methyl, Propyl, Butyl and Ethyl Paraben) – used as preservatives to inhibit the growth of bacteria, yeast, and mold. Studies show this chemical may cause skin rashes, allergic reactions and cancer. Although there is no definitive consensus of these dangers, Fabric has decided to produce paraben-free products as a precautionary method.

Formaldehyde Releasing Preservatives – some most widely used are Diazolidinyl Urea or Imidazolidinyl Urea. These chemicals release formaldehyde, which can be toxic and may cause serious health conditions. Also, the American Academy of Dermatology found these to be a primary cause of contact dermatitis.

Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfate – (SLS) is a cheap, harsh detergent used in shampoos. It can STRIP hair of natural oils causing cuticle damage and causing hair to become brittle, dry, hard, and break. It can cause severe damage in ethnic hair. It may also cause eye irritation or scalp dandruff. Many consumers may never know this could be the cause of their dandruff and dry scalp. We estimate these sulfates to be present in 90% + of the shampoos on the market.

Mineral Oil / Petrolatum – This cheap chemical is widely used in cosmetics and present in almost every ethnic product, it is used for its emollient properties in cosmetics. However, it doesn’t absorb into the skin or hair. Instead, it coats skin and hair interfering with the body’s own natural moisturizing mechanism, leading to chapped skin, dryness, smothered hair follicles and possibly stunted hair growth. It’s used to make hair “look” moisturized by sitting on the surface of the hair and never truly providing moisture deep in the hair.

Synthetic Colors – They will be labeled as FD&C or D&C, followed by a color and a number. Many synthetic colors can be cancer causers. They are mostly added to enhance the “look” of the product.

Synthetic Fragrances – Products that contain “fragrances” can have hundreds of unknown chemicals present in them that may cause headache, dizziness, vomiting, hyperpigmentation, and respiratory ailments. As a conscious decision, all synthetic fragrances have been removed from Fabric formulations. Instead we’ve decided to incorporate natural essential oils that are not only “pretty”, but have been reputed to have therapeutic properties.

Please check your labels. If any of these ingredients are in the products you use, we suggest that you consider throwing them away.
